SSA North America 2016 Famine Relief

The ongoing drought and famine across several regions of Somalia has put nearly 20 million people at risk. As each day passes many people are forced to succumb to their hunger without the basic resources

The ongoing drought and famine across several regions of Somalia has put nearly 20 million people at risk. As each day passes many people are forced to succumb to their hunger without the basic resources needed for survival. We are witnessing a huge humanitarian crisis yet it still has not been officially declared a famine by the government. How many people must die for the people to recognize this humanitarian crisis? The Somali Student Association at San Diego State University along with other SSA’s from the network across North America have teamed up with ARAHA to help raise the funds necessary to help those in need. ARAHA continues to strive to provide the resources needed to support survival while also promoting self-reliance in the communities they serve. Don’t wait until it’s too late and another life has been lost, our brothers and sisters in Somalia have this right upon us so please help us raise awareness by tweeting or posting on your social media #SaveSomalia donate generously to this cause
