ARAHA's First project

ARAHA's First project

In 2002, ARAHA's Executive Director Mohamed Idris had his first visit to the field.  ARAHA had implemented its first official project on the ground in Wad Sharifay refugee camp, located in Sudan's Eastern region.

It was an eye-opening experience to see the people's needs and witness how the minor things we took for granted meant the world to them.

Furthermore, meeting the kids was very inspiring. The majority of them were orphans, yet they had the most upbeat spirit, regardless of their situation.

This was one of many visits to the region in the coming twenty years. Mohamed continued to visit the Horn of Africa region almost every year to oversee several projects and meet with the locals.
