Fundraising Coordinator

Overall Purpose

Work closely with the Fundraising & Development Director to plan and manage all ARAHA fundraising activities within the Muslim communities and religious institutions in MN & nationwide.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative, but not all-inclusive, of those the fundraising coordinator will be expected to undertake and carry out.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact & build relationships with religious institutions within the US to secure fundraising opportunities for ARAHA.
  • Plan and implement all seasonal campaigns. This includes all mail and e‐mail campaigns in coordination with the Fundraising and Development Director and Media and Marketing Director.
  • Plan & manage bazaars, dinners, and special events in collaboration with the Development Director and Media/Marketing Director.
  • Write proposals, stewardship reports, and fundraising letters.
  • Travel for fundraising events as needed
  • Recruit, supervise, evaluate and encourage volunteers to help in the fundraising efforts.
  • Plan and implement the distribution and collection of donation boxes & Dipjars in groceries, gas stations, and other businesses.
  • Perform all duties in a manner to maintain the positive image of ARAHA.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising, development, and/or community outreach
  • College degree (preferred)
  • Must be comfortable dealing with Masajid & Islamic centers nationwide in addition to other religious institutions.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to give effective presentations to diverse audiences and the ability to tell compelling stories.
  • Commitment to the Cause.
  • Driving ability and driver's license are needed
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and goal-driven.
  • Enjoy meeting/speaking to people and have the ability to develop relationships.

 

This position is hybrid: in-office and working from home.
