Mabatini Village – Isiolo, Kenya

Borehole (Deep Water Well) Water is Life For an Entire Village

Organized by Dr. Saleem Salaymeh & Family Jamil Salaymeh

Our family-Dr. Saleem, Janet, Jamil, and Sumaya- recently traveled with ARAHA to visit Mabatini Village in Isiolo, Kenya. During our visit, we met with local community members and listened as they shared their most urgent need: access to clean water.

Today, the 250 families living in Mabatini Village have no reliable water source. Every day, members of the community—often women and children—must walk more than miles  along uneven, unpaved roads just to collect water. With no vehicles available in the village, this journey is made entirely on foot, carrying heavy containers back to their homes.

This daily struggle consumes hours of their time and drains the energy that could otherwise be spent on education, work, and caring for their families.

Clean water is not just a convenience it is essential for life, health, and dignity.

Our family is raising funds to support the installation of a deep borehole well that will bring clean, reliable water directly to Mabatini Village.

This borehole will serve all 250 families, transforming daily life for the entire community.

We invite you to join us in making this possible.

Every contribution—no matter the amount- brings us one step closer to providing life-giving water to Mabatini Village.

Together, we can help ensure that families no longer have to walk miles each day just to meet the most basic human need.
