Communities in the Horn each have their own specific water context. In some areas, accessing groundwater requires drilling a borehole to greater depths, a more expensive though longer-lasting solution than a traditional hand-dug well. Providing water to villages has significant and direct impacts on community health, wellness, and sanitation indicators. ARAHA works with communities and technical experts to determine the best way to bring safe and reliable access to clean water to villages, taking into consideration the specific needs and characteristics of the area.
You can donate to our borehole fund today that will serve dozens of communities with clean drinking water for decades.
