Somalia, officially the Federal Republic of Somalia, is located in the Horn of Africa along the eastern coastline. The country has a roughly estimated population of 15 million people, and about 85% of the residents are ethnic Somalis. The official languages in Somalia are Somali and Arabic with the majority of people being Sunni Muslims.
ARAHA maintains a field office in the capital city of Mogadishu. We have had a substantial impact on the region through a variety of humanitarian programs. This includes providing food baskets, donkey carts, shipments of medical supplies, orphan sponsorship, and flood relief to the region. We have worked in many cities, villages, and refugee camps including Mogadishu, Banadir regions, Puntland, and Shabelle. ARAHA has assisted over 900,000 people and conducted over 200 projects with Somalia.
